Mondays, June 16 – July 28 from 2-4pm
Drop on in to the library for a variety of science, math, art, engineering, and play activities. All activities are geared towards elementary-aged youth but the whole family is welcome. Younger children will need additional assistance and supervision. Each week features a different theme.
Childcare providers: please contact us in advance if you plan to bring in your group. This will help us ensure there are enough supplies for everyone. We may not be able to accommodate large groups. Thank you. 715-723-1146
JUNE 16: BABY & PET-SITTERS CLUB:
Stop by multiple activity stations all about baby and pet-sitting. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
-Make cat toys to keep or donate to the Humane Association
-Crafts and printables related to The Baby-Sitters Club book series
-Trivia and games about pet and baby-sitting
-Button nametags
JUNE 23 – SOLAR ART
Harness the power of the sun and your own creativity to make a Masterpiece. Several sun-centric project possibilities will be offered.
JUNE 30 – PADDINGTON PARTY
We are celebrating Paddington Bear with a showing of his latest movie plus related activities and snacks.
JULY 7 – ARTSPARK SURPRISE ART
Spin the ArtSpark wheel for an assignment, then get creative with our art supplies.
JULY 14 – BREAK-OUT BOXES & 3D I-Spy
Solve clues to open the Break-Out Boxes. (Break-Out Boxes are like escape rooms but on a smaller scale.) What objects can you find in our real-life I-Spy game, inspired by the I-Spy series by Walter Wick? Note: An adult or older sibling will need to assist non-readers with these activities.
JULY 21 – MINECRAFT PARTY
Celebrate one of the world’s most popular games with Minecraft selfies, a scavenger hunt, building challenges with tons of Magnatiles and building blocks, a Creeper or Enderman windsock, and more!
JULY 28 – BUILD A BEETLE
Create a 3D beetle, then come back on Thursday to see Bruce the Bug Guy.
